Registration

The 9th Annual Komen Grand Rapids Race for the Cure® is Saturday, September 30, at RiverTown Crossings Mall in Grandville. There will be a competitive 5K run/walk which begins at 8:30 a.m. and a One Mile Community Walk at 8:35 a.m. The Survivor Recognition Ceremony will be held at 7:45 a.m. and the Post Race Celebration and Awards Presentation will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Participants can register for one of three events: The timed Coed 5K Run/Walk using the Champion Chip, The Coed 5K Run/Walk, and the One Mile Community Walk.

Children's Registration!

Children (ages 12 and under) can register for the three events (see fees below) and will be given a child's size T-shirt (while supplies last).

You may register on-line by clicking here. On-line registration is open until Midnight on Wednesday, Sept 27th, 2006. After Sept. 27th, you can register in person at the RiverTown Mall on Friday, Sept 29th from 10am to 8pm or on Race Day, Sept 30th, beginning at 6:30 am.

RACE RESULTS will be posted at www.classicrace.com after 4:00pm on Race Day.

The Champion Chip will be available to all 5K runners or walkers who sign up for the timed event. It is a small device that is tied to your shoe that will determine your time. Participants who do not want to use the Chip will still be able to use the time clock over the finish line to check their own time. Results will be posted for chip users only. The Race will be timed from the time the gun goes off to the time the participant cross the mat at the finish line.

Pre-Registration and Packet Pick-up

There are two opportunities for you to pre-register and two opportunities to pick up your race packet prior to Race day. We encourage pre-registration as T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed. T-shirts will be given to the first 4,500 people that pick up their packets!
