Donations/Memorial Contributions
Your donation can help us eradicate breast cancer!
We invite you to join us in the fight against breast cancer on Saturday, September 24th, but don’t forget the other 364 days of the year. The pledge money that is generated on Race day is incredible! However, women are being diagnosed and are living with breast cancer every day. Many local organizations, medical facilities and health care providers use our grant funds every day in their programs. Their efforts in screening, diagnosing, and treating breast cancer are helping to save the lives of women throughout greater Grand Rapids. You can make a difference in someone’s life just by writing a check. Please consider making a donation or memorial contribution to advance our efforts. You can send your tax-deductible donation in honor, or in memory of a loved one to our office address: Komen Grand Rapids Affiliate, 118 Commerce Ave SW, Suite 100, Grand Rapids, MI 49503-4106. Donations made by credit card are also accepted by calling us at (616) 752-8262. If the donation is a tribute, please let us know who the donation is in honor of or in memory of. We would be happy to send an acknowledgement of the gift.
Please consider the Komen Foundation in your will. If you would like more information on making a gift to the Foundation through your estate plan, please contact us.
You can also increase your donation with employer matching funds. Many employers will match your personal donation. Check with your company for more information on matching gift programs. Employer matching gifts may also be available to you if you are a spouse of an employee, a retired employee, or the spouse/widow/widower of a retiree. You may also designate the Komen Grand Rapids Affiliate as the recipient of your United Way donations.
In-kind donations of goods and/or services are always appreciated and help keep expenses down which allows us to allocate even more money to programs that fight this disease. Examples of needed goods/services are: door prizes, printing and copying services, advertising, food and beverage, and postage.
Thank-you for your consideration.
